Albanian polemics in the name of the Albanian-Italian agreement.
On Monday evening Albania will sign an Albanian-Italian agreement, which is being commented on in dozens of versions. The accusations have continued regardless of how Albanian officials interpret it, and Prime Minister Fino dismisses it with a smile, hoping that there is such an agreement between the governments in the long poem of Mr. Prodi’s generation about dividing up the refugees. However, in the materials that are appearing under the name of the Albanian agreement in the newspapers of Italy, there is no doubt that this move is in some way intended to justify the great indifference of the Albanian authorities. Despite the statements in the media by Albanian officials, who some time ago promised that it would not be interpreted in the light of migrants, but, in essence, the agreement does not give the impression of a signing that seeks to soften the problem of mass migration and find a moderate way out of the failure of the Albanian refugees, more and more accused. However, public opinion has long been dealing with many topics, and the word is that Italy tends toward the expulsion of Albanians. Yes, sometimes it emerges that the Italian government has an agreement with the Albanian government, which organizes the return. The Albanian opposition has echoed this, but the government denies the existence of the document. Even in official Italian meetings with Albanian officials, the Albanian public is informed that there will be monitoring of the agreement, but at least so far no signed document has been mentioned. This situation is made even more unclear by the fact that in Italy Albanians are in a difficult economic and legal situation, while the Albanian state is accused of having no interest in preventing this human drama.
